I was reading chico garcia’s blog about the top ten funny friend quotes when I saw the following entry :
- Ang Manunusok – I consider my mom as a friend, so I hope this counts. She’s weird, she once texted me this message: “Bulaga! Sana nagulat ka.”
Then I recalled- me and my friend had our own version of this over a chat.
I can still remember how hard I was trying not to laugh out loud since I am in the office. 🙂
“What” and “If” — two words as nonthreatening as words come. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: “What if…”
I got this quote from the movie Letters to Juliet starring Amanda Seyfried. I didn’t expect that I’d like this film after having a glimpse of who are going to be Amanda’s love interest/s here. I told myself “who are these men?” Hardly heard of them. (lol) But still, I watched it last week together with my sister and a friend.
Similar to most of the chick flicks it has humor, a touch of drama, romance – losing and finding love, and the inevitable happy ending. Yes it’s predictable, but even if it is, I still enjoyed the entire movie. I can even watch it again.
The movie primarily shows that true love…
… is timeless. Regardless if two lovers have been separated by any circumstance, as long as their love for each other is true, the feelings will never change. They will both have a special spot in their heart for one another.
…knows the meaning of acceptance. That if in the end, they will need to continue with their lives separately, each of them will have to understand. Accept that love sometimes means being selfless.
…takes courage. No matter how awkward the situation may be, a person in love will have to step up in order to express how they feel. No matter what the other person’s response could be.
…is a chance for you to grow old and grow up with another person.
What I like most about this movie is that…
…it does not have any profane words. (It is safe to watch this movie with kids around)
…Amanda has justified her role once again. (I’ve watched her in Chloe, and liked her acting there too) Here she has portrayed a young, sweet and loving girl that came out naturally on her. (She really looks pretty in this film I must say)
…the location is very refreshing in the eyes. Perfect when you want to watch something that would soothe your mind from a tiring day.
Overall, this is a must-see movie for all the chick flicks fanatics out there.
My friend likes this song and said I should listen to it. So, she shared the music and its lyrics to me. After that I’ve been playing it everyday on my computer at work for over a week now. ♥♥♥ Just saw its video on Youtube:
I don’t know why, but a line from the movie Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring keeps running in my head these past few weeks:
“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
And what does that line have to do with me now? Well, I decided to do something practically new to my everyday routine (but has been in the internet for ages). I know that this isn’t something BIG, anyway here it is – Blogging. Yes, I’m typing my first entry on my personal blog (I had one but deleted it since I enjoy writing with a pen more than typing back then even when I’m a mouse potato).
I’m always in front of computer either at work or at home. I enjoy reading different stuff from the internet, and most of the sites (non-work related) I visit, are blogs. I learn a lot, I laugh a lot, sometimes I sympathize and even want to cry from/on what I read. Hopefully I’ll be able to update this site regularly and use it as a venue to express my thoughts and share something useful whenever I feel like writing (or typing instead). 🙂
